The Start
Josef called us up on his satellite phone from the middle of nowhere and asked us if we would like to go on a trip with him and the camels through the Gibson desert. Tom and I thought about it overnight and decided we would love to see Josef and share in one of his adventures and visit special and unique places.
So we set off on our adventure, flying first to Alice Springs via Sydney and Adelaide, and then travelling by OKA (Australian designed 4WD bus) for ten hours to a campsite just south of Lake Mackay. It was a beautiful campsite with a waterhole ...and the starting point for our trek.

Hi Guys, amazing pictures and a good tale too. I'll have to come home and see some of my own country one day. Take Care, Steve
